What my hair is doing right now, Protective styling and Product Reviews
By . - Monday, June 11, 2012
It’s
really very cold in Cape Town right now, and the wind was whipping
through my hair in quite the violent manner. I had to take matters into my own hands, so I decided to sew in a hair weave on Friday 8th of June as my winter protective style. My initial plan was to
recreate a hair cut that Taraji P. Henson rocked back in 2009.
I hit a bit
of a snag when I realized that the top portion of my hair falls to my
shoulders. I would have to cut a significant amount of hair to
recreate the hairstyle. That was so not happening! I eventually opted
for a longer and fuller look that I believe suits me well.
What do you
guys think? I am loving it! I know you guys want to know... what kind of
hair I am wearing and how much it costs. A company by the name of
Darling was gracious enough to send me a couple of packs of hair in
exchange for an honest hair review. I will be wearing this hair for 7
weeks, and my review will come a little bit after.
Check out my
Sew-in weave regimen to familiarize yourself with my routine. I will be using a new
braid spray to moisturize my braids underneath the hair weave. I’ll
be using JO’M Braids & Dreadlocks Spray with Olive Oil for the
full 7 weeks. I’ll give my review of this particular product at the
end of the 7 weeks. Check out the rest of my JO’M product reviews on the site as well.
Is
it cold where your living? Will you be hopping on the band wagon and
protective styling with me? Let us know what your plans are in the

Have
a Good Hair Day!!!
